The client needed a digital storefront to showcase their specialized testing instruments globally with high reliability and performance. Legacy catalogs were previously maintained entirely offline, resulting in enormous sales friction and outdated technical specification sheets being handed to engineers. Geotek required a platform capable of handling deep categorizations for complex instruments—ranging from Rock Mechanics to Advanced Soil Dynamics. Beyond simply listing products, the platform needed a robust, highly reliable foundation capable of weathering traffic spikes during industry conventions, while still offering B2B buyers a seamless journey to submit detailed RFQs (Request For Quotations).

[✓] THE_ARCHITECTURAL_SOLUTION

Designed and developed a responsive, high-performance Next.js frontend seamlessly integrated with an Odoo backend for catalog management. To bridge the gap between their ERP operations and web frontend, we utilized Odoo's headless commerce capabilities. Next.js App Router was leveraged to statically generate product pages on build-time, bringing the Time to First Byte (TTFB) down to merely 80ms globally. The architecture relies heavily on Tailwind CSS for a strictly controlled, branded design system. Edge caching via Vercel ensures that heavy product manuals (PDFs) and high-resolution CAD images are delivered instantly to end users without choking the primary server. For the deployment orchestration, Docker containers were automated via GitHub Actions, establishing a CI/CD pipeline that enforces rigorous linting, type-checking, and Zero-Downtime deployments.
